From the April 2015 Meeting:
Summer paychecks will be distributed in one lump sum on the last Friday in June. This is just like two years ago. Take home pay will increase because union dues and insurance contributions are only deducted during the school year.
The first paycheck of 2015-2016 will be 9/11/15.
The CEA Retirement Social is Tuesday June 9, 2015. IT IS FUN – COME!

A number of days were returned to our sick bank after a CEA member went on disability leave recently.
A note from the district office regarding health benefit information:
Some employee groups who will/may move to the Consumer-Driven Health Plan (CDHP) effective September 1, 2015. Because of this, we have scheduled four dates and times for SchoolCare representatives to conduct educational sessions with a specific focus not only on this plan, but also the benefits of the Flexible Spending Account. These sessions are designed to provide you with information regarding this plan in order that you have a better understanding of how the plan works, deductibles, etc.
These sessions are not to be confused with our regular “Open Enrollment” meetings, which will begin on May 18th – this schedule will be announced at a later date.
We encourage anyone who is interested to attend, and do not limit it to just the groups moving to the new plan – every employee, whether on an HMO or CDHP now, or even if not enrolled in a plan at all, should feel free to attend.
